PITTSBURGH, PA - ZAP Solutions partnered with Pittsburgh advertising agency, Wall-to-Wall, to execute a website for Grow Pittsburgh, a local nonprofit. Grow Pittsburgh’s mission is to “strive to educate the general public about the importance of gardening and agriculture as part of a vibrant, healthy community.” This wonderful organization partners with Pittsburghers of all types to teach them how to grow food in an urban environment.

Wall-to-Wall led this project and worked with Grow Pittsburgh to develop the artwork and content for the website. They then approached ZAP Solutions to handle the website development within WordPress, a CMS which our development team is extremely familiar with. The ZAP Solutions development team built this site using WordPress, allowing the Grow Pittsburgh staff to update their site with ease. This site was also built with responsive coding techniques, which allows the site layout to adapt to fit any device - so, the Grow Pittsburgh site looks awesome on a desktop, tablet, or cell phone!

The Grow Pittsburgh site features a robust events calendar to notify residents of educational workshops, volunteer events, and local restaurant partnerships. The calendar integrates with your Mac’s iCal application with the click of a button. A weather widget in the header gives you a taste of Pittsburgh’s local weather. Integration with social media makes staying connected to Grow Pittsburgh easy.

While ZAP Solutions enjoys working with big clients, doing projects with local non-profits always warms our hearts! Grow Pittsburgh does a lot of great work advocating for personal gardening, education, local eating, and environmental awareness; our team is proud to have offered our talents to such a valuable local organization. If your advertising agency or non-profit is in need of website development, contact ZAP Solutions.
