Today, ZAP Solutions is excited to announce the launch of the University of Pittsburgh’s Police Department website. Pitt’s Police Department represent the third largest enforcement agency in Allegheny County, PA. This police force is responsible for round-the-clock protection of more than 40,000 students, faculty, and staff on campus. The ZAP Solutions development team was honored to build a new website for these hardworking men and women in blue.
In building the new Pitt Police website, the ZAP development team partnered with the University of Pittsburgh’s Marketing Communications department. The University of Pittsburgh provided ZAP with the website design, and our developers used their coding expertise to make recommendations for best practices in executing their design. The Pitt Police website features a magnitude of information about staying safe on campus. The site details emergency procedures, crime statistics, and safety tips. There is a tool to report crimes anonymously, an RSS feed for crime alerts, and links to Pitt Police social media outlets.
This wasn’t ZAP Solutions first time partnering with the University of Pittsburgh Marketing Communications team to build an internal website, but as always, ZAP's team had a fantastic time working with Pitt’s marketing team again.
