Description/Responsibilities

Oversee the direction and growth of ZAP’s overall business planning, customer service delivery/operations, marketing, new business development, and sales and opportunity management. This position is responsible for assessing, shaping, setting and selling (internal + external) the strategic direction of ZAP Solutions efforts to efficiently and effectively build and scale the company’s unique selling propositions and business operation across our custom development and software solutions business units:

  • Should be a dedicated, hard-working executive management leader with the ability to build and broaden internal and external relationships 
  • A proven track record of both initiating and carrying out marketing and sales strategies
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills with excellent business judgment, problem solving abilities and general management strengths

Responsibilities:

  • Development and oversight of business strategy and overall company direction 
  • Oversight of all strategic and tactical marketing and sales initiatives
  • Lead process development aimed      
  • Lead strategic market assessment to determine optimum service, price, and brand positioning for services to maximize penetration and profitability
  • Advise senior management team on the management and optimal brand position for the company
  • Create and execute strategies to meet or exceed annual goals and objectives in the areas of growth and profitability across all services offered
  • Continually develop new client business by pursuing business opportunities with strategic targets and cultivating relationships with existing clients (e.g. Agency / Partner Initiatives)
  • Work closely with the senior management team to ensure all sales propositions are operationally, commercially and economically viable
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with clients and other constituencies
  • Successfully conceptualize position, and develop, negotiate and close sales opportunities
  • Facilitate growth of the company’s sales through revenue and margin generation and through recruiting, managing and mentoring /coaching team associates
  • Participate and advise senior management team on issues affecting clients and assist in strategic planning
  • Work closely with client service team to manage relationships with clients, review client and prospect performance, check continued client satisfaction and extend relationships accordingly
  • Represent the company through appropriate professional, community and civic involvement (e.g Ad Fed, AMA, Pittsburgh Technology Council, etc.)
  • Manage relationships with advertising / public relations firms and strategic partnerships with vendors
  • Maintain a keen awareness of marketplace competition and keep executive management abreast of such threats through effective communication
  • Identify and lead definition of key vertical prospects and targeting segmentations for key service offerings
  • Demonstrated ability to be a contributing member of the executive leadership team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline required.  Master’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration
  • Experience in previous leadership positions such as VP, Senior Manager or Director
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, evaluate and coach teams responsible for cultivating, building and maintaining strong customer relationships   
  • An established network of contacts / clients
  • An established network of marketing, business development and account management professionals
  • A strong customer orientation with the demonstrated ability to nurture key accounts
  • The ability to respond quickly and effectively to the needs of clients and internal stakeholders
  • Conceptual and strategic selling experience of solutions-based products and services
  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills
  • A high level of enthusiasm for building business and overcoming obstacles
  • Demonstrated results in sales management, business development and P&L management
  • Previous experience in building and developing service-oriented teams
  • Previous experience in building strong, internal relationships with C-level executives across an organization
  • Prior experience in successfully delivering on annual sales quotas
  • Strong business and technical acumen
